The Dutch Language Collaboration is an enthusiastic group of Dutch students who have a passion for teaching the Dutch language to international students. In a pair, teachers give thirteen classes about topics convenient in daily life. Classes run once a week on Wednesday evening. Next to teaching, teachers are in charge of updating the course material. Throughout the course, international students have an opportunity to familiarize themselves with useful phrases and quirks of the Dutch language directly from Dutch students; a perfect way to get to know the language in an informal setting. The course is provided by ESN Utrecht in collaboration with Career Services of Utrecht University.
At the moment we are looking for new enthusiastic volunteers that would like to help internationals to learn the Dutch language. It is not only very fun but also a great opportunity to gain teaching experience in an open and informal environment. At the end of the course, as a teacher you will get a certificate of completion as a proof of your work and the skills you have gained. Do you see yourself doing this? Then you can sign up via this form!
The Dutch Language Collaboration consists of a team of around 14 teachers and is coordinated by the Integration Coordinator.
