Before the start of a new semester, ESN Utrecht assists newly arriving international students by providing a Pre-Departure Mentor Programme. As an incoming student, you will be linked directly to an Utrecht-based mentor. They will answer questions you may have about life in the Netherlands, Dutch study culture, where to do sports or find the best café! Talking to a local is the easiest way to prepare for moving to a new city and learn more about what your daily life might entail.

Will you self-quarantine after arriving in Utrecht? Make sure to let your mentor know, so that they can support you throughout this period. Besides meeting up online, your mentor can assist you with practical tasks such as arranging groceries.
